As you all now know if you’ve already visited our site, the Buzzball is the invention of my very good self and is currently the only vibrating rugby training ball in the world. As a minis and junior coach at Trebanos RFC in the Swansea Valleys, I wanted to create a rugby training ball to help young players become more pass aware and develop their skills of handling and passing a rugby ball.
Since it’s development back in 2019, the Buzzball has become an essential piece of rugby training equipment that I use nearly every session with my team. In fact, coaches throughout our club including our minis, juniors, youth and senior teams are using it to develop players handling and passing skills in rugby as well as coaches much further afield in countries like France, Ireland, Scotland and England.
The buzzball can be used in a multitude of different handling and passing drills as well as fun games and activities. In addition to the skill development aspects that the Buzzball offers, it also brings a great deal more fun and variety to training and prectice sessions ensuring players are much more engaged and on-task.
